A Project gives ongoing work one place in Grata Intelligence. Use one for a deal, market study, company, or other task that you will return to. A Project can hold chats, notes, files, lists, and work.

Create a Project

  1. In My Workspace, select Projects.

  2. Select New Project.

  3. Enter a Project name. Add a Description if it will help other members understand the work.

  4. Select a Type: Deal, Monitoring, Research, or General. Select Next.

  5. In Add members, search for the people who need to work in the Project. Select Next. You can continue without adding another member.

  6. In Manage Sharing, choose the default for new chats and notes:

    • Hide Chats & Notes hides them from other Project members by default.

    • Share Chats & Notes makes them visible to Project members by default.

  7. Select Create.

Hide Chats & Notes is selected when you start a new Project. After you create the Project, you can change sharing for an individual chat or note.

Find a Project

The Projects page shows each Project's name, type, member count, and last update. Select a Project to open it. Use the Project Type filters to show Research, Deal, Monitoring, or General Projects. Use the status menu to show Active, On Hold, or Archived Projects.

The Project has these areas:

To work with Chat enter a request on Overview or open Workspace. You can use Chat, Note, File, and App views in Workspace. The Agents area shows suggested tasks and scheduled tasks for the Project.

Apps

Use Apps to build interactive tools for your Project. Describe what you need in a Chat, or start from a template. For guidance on building and managing interactive tools with Apps see Apps.[link to Apps article]

Manage a Project

Open Settings to edit the Project details or change its status to Active, On Hold, or Archived. Select Save Project Settings to save changes. Open Members to check who is in the Project and the default visibility of new chats and notes. Check the sharing setting on a chat or note before you use it to share work with the team.

Questions

When should I use a Project? Use a Project when work will continue over time or when you need to keep its materials and conversations together. For a single question, you can start in Chats.

Can other Project members see my chats and notes? It depends on the sharing choice made when the Project was created and the setting on each chat or note. Check the Members page for the Project default. Check an individual item before you share it.

Can I add files from another source? Select Import File to see the sources available to your account. The file picker can show uploads and connected sources.
