Create signals to build a feed of companies and email alerts

Create Signals for a list of companies (or all companies in Grata) to keep track of recent events (past 30 days) involving growth, hiring, funding or ownership changes.

You can create a new Signal by going to:


Creating Signals

FROM LISTS

  1. Open one of your Grata Lists

  2. Go to the Signals tab

  3. Select Create New

FROM THE SIGNALS PAGE

  1. Select My Signals

  2. Select Create New

FROM FILTERS

  1. Go to Grata Search or open a List

    1. Add filters to your search

  2. Click on the Actions drop-down menu

  3. Select Save these filters as a filter


Create a New Signal

  1. Name your Signal.

  2. List: You can set the Signal to all companies or a specific list of companies. You can choose from the set of pre-built lists or lists you have created.

  3. Sharing: You can either make the Signal private for only you to view or share it with your organization.


  1. Select the triggers you want to track for this list of companies (see example below).

    1. Growth: Find growing companies or companies hitting an employee threshold.

    2. Funding: Find companies that have raised any capital or have raised a specific amount of funding.

    3. Ownership: Find companies that have been acquired or have gone public.


  1. Add additional filters, as needed. This view matches the filters available in the main Grata Search view.


  1. Set up frequency and type of notification

    1. Enable Emails

      1. Grata automatically sends update emails vs. manually checking your Signals

    2. Email Type

      1. Digest: All of your Signals will be in one email. You can change your digest frequency in your Account settings.

      2. Dedicated: You'll get a separate email for your Signal . You can change your email frequency in the notifications panel of the Signal , as shown below.

  2. Click Submit
